Am I a Good Candidate For a Nose Job?
If you're considering a rhinoplasty, it is important that you visit an expert for a consultation to determine whether or not you are a good candidate for the procedure. Patients who are in good health and who wish to improve the appearance of their nose, correct a deformity, and/or improve nasal symmetry are generally good candidates for a Beverly Hills nose job with Dr. Azizzadeh. What Is the Recovery Like After a Rhinoplasty?
After a nose job, patients will typically experience a dull headache, aching nose, and may have a slightly puffy face. These side effects generally only last for the first 24 hours following the procedure, but the physician can prescribe pain medication to manage any discomfort. Dr. Azizzadeh advises patients to stay in bed and rest, with their heads elevated, for the first day. Initial swelling and bruising typically last 7-10 days, but every patient is different. Generally, swelling can be reduced with a cold compress. You may experience some bleeding for a couple of days. Splints and stitches should be removed in a week or two.
When Will I See Full Results?
Rhinoplasty recovery is a gradual process that does require patience. Full, optimal results of a nose job may not be evident for one to two years after surgery. However, most patients do see pleasant results within a couple of months, with only subtle swelling remaining.
