Endoscopic sinus surgery

Endoscopic sinus surgery is a non-invasive surgical procedure that addresses chronic sinus disease with the use of the endoscope.

This treatment allows the surgeon to examine and remove blockages in  the sinuses.  This procedure is commonly used in patients with chronic sinusitis, deviated septums or in patients with tumors or polyps.

By restoring the normal function of the sunuses, mucus is able to drain properly and air flow is increased, improving breathing.

As a result of this procedure patients can expect an 80-90% improvement from facial pain caused by nasal blockage and many will regain their sense of smell or taste.

Recovery time is usually short and relatively painless due to this non-invasive approach.

At the Institute for Rhinoplasty and Nasal Reconstruction we work with expert sinus surgeons.  Dr Larian, a memeber of the Cedars-Sinai Sinus Center and Director of Advanced Head and Neck Institute is a leading expert in sinus disorders.
